The Lucko Family in a Winter Wonderland | Cleveland Family Mini Photo Session

I just love working with children. They’re so fun, so curious, so excited about things. Working with the Lucko family was no different. I already knew Sylvia because she and I are friends; we’re both members of the Mothers & More Cleveland West Chapter. This is the first time for the Luckos to have a professional family photograph. It was an honor to show them just how much fun a photo shoot can be! Sylvia wanted a family photo for their Christmas cards this year. When she saw the I Heart Life Photography Cleveland Winter Wonderland setup, she knew it was just the special and unique thing she was searching for her family pictures.

My hope is that the set, with all its colorful details — a sparkling white snowman, glittery golden deer, an old-fashioned sled, a cozy red plaid blanket, lush evergreen garland — will appeal to anyone of any age. Sylvia was sure her daughter would not be able to resist it! We started the session in the Rocky River Metroparks with some photos using the trees as a natural backdrop. Then it was time to move to the Winter Wonderland set. Little Miss E’s eyes lit up when she saw all the festive props. She was so busy playing, she didn’t even realize that she was posing and smiling for photographs! Her red velvet dress paired perfectly with the golden crown I’ve included in the setup.

The session was filled with laughter, hugs, and smiles. The Lucko family’s closeness is evident in the final images. I am so pleased at how the final photos came together, so vibrant and delightful. The color combination of the location, their outfits, and the Winter Wonderland props worked so well together. I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to create such beautiful art for their first official family portraits.
